I Go Carry My Woman...

Some weeks ago, I was on a bus travelling with my colleagues and the guys at the far back seat were entertaining us with music.

Then this guy's music came on with the lyrics, 'I go carry my woman we go fly away, because when money no dey na my woman dey...' (I don't know any other thing about that music, pardon me).

Anyway, while this music was going on, a guy suddenly said, 'Na lie o. If money no dey, woman no go dey.'

I want to ask please, who are the girls that are with these guys because they all claim when there is no money, there is no woman yet there is someone they point to as their girl.

Since we are still in the Valentine season, I would like that you give them some credit.

It's not like most of these guys have fast cars or own buildings at Lekki or can afford to take them to Coldstone thrice a month and buy pizza for them at Domino's or can even take them to Mag Divas to shop and stretch out their body at Fespris.

Yet, they stick to you like bread and butter.

I understand it's not everyone of us but for the people that decide to stay, give them a reason to stay!

Happy Valentine.

Olufunlola is my name and writing is what I do.
