The Million Dollar Question.

I have been arguing this as far back as I can recall but it's getting to a point where I am thinking of changing my mind.
I believe that love is everything yet I know that everything is important. Where money can not get to, love can open the doors and where love can't penetrate, money can do wonders.
Una sabi say I like to dey talk nao, so that one no be new thing. I was talking to this guy and arguing so energetically that love is what matters at the end but he made me understand that if Dangote's daughter should show up today and claim she loves him, he won't think twice before he ex his girlfriend and go with the rich babe because money is everything in the sense that when you have money, everything else comes with ease. You will have peace of mind, happiness won't be a long shot for you, things would be readily available. It would be the case of more money, no worries. In fact, instant love will surface.
Then he proceeded to convince me by saying that assuming a girl and a guy are dating. The guy is yet to be big and money is not in abundance but they love each other. Sooner or later, the love will probably fade off or someone will leave the other hurting because it won't be fun anymore when there is no money to do this and that or to buy this and that. The relationship might become boring sef.
I thought about it carefully and I realized that it is true but the only reason why it is true is because of the country we are in.
A country where naira notes has become the trademark of all things.
So, how can true love survive when money is on everyone's mind?
Who is willing to wait with his or her significant other and suffer through the 'no money' today into the 'take this cheque of 100 million to promote your business' tomorrow?
Who? Who is willing to fight and stay till true love achieve its course?
Who is willing to close his or her eyes to money, start from the scratch and build up an empire with his lady or her man?
Who is willing?
